An isogeometric symmetric Galerkin boundary element method for two-dimensional elastostatic analysis

An isogeometric analysis using Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS) is implemented in the weakly singular symmetric Galerkin boundary element method, which we term IGA-SGBEM, for solving two-dimensional elastostatic problems. The compatibility between the two approaches is shown since only boundary data is required for analysis. Some benchmark problems are investigated to verify the proposed method and the numerical results are in good agreement with other numerical methods.
