Model to describe wall's vibrations in the bulk storage bin

Abstract

The paper contains a description of effects in the bulk storage bin wall during the flow of a stored material. The model allows to predict the danger of construction damage due to resonant vibrations. It is practical importance by determining the influence of cyclic pressures on the safety of this kind constructions. The results were tested on the walls of bulk storage bin in semi-technical scale. The model allows for identification of parameters in real-size objects. The paper contains theoretical and experimental equations which can be useful to research and engineering design.
